Why Choose Sundog

Sundog Energy has been a leading player in the provision of renewable energy systems since 1995. We have installed hundreds of systems, from domestic projects to large commercial and public sector schemes, giving the same degree of care and attention to all our projects. We have worked with a wide range of clients from homeowners to local authorities and major construction companies, all over the country. The following are some of the reasons we think you too should choose Sundog Energy to install your system:

Quality

Quality control is at the heart of Sundog Energy's operations, determining what we do, how we do it and how we ensure that we are meeting our own exacting standards. But don’t just take our word for it. Sundog’s quality procedures have been independently assessed and, as a result, Sundog is fully accredited under the Government’s MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) for PV and wind installations.

Customer care

Sundog Energy aims to have the best record of customer care in the renewable energy marketplace. Sundog abides by the REAL consumer code and is committed to providing the highest standards of service to all our customers.

Setting standards

Martin Cotterell, founder and Managing Director of Sundog Energy, is the author of many industry standards on the installation and design of PV and wind systems and currently represents the UK on the International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC) that sets PV installation standards.

Delivering on our promises

We are committed to delivering what we have promised. For example, we ensure that a quoted system performance is realistic and calculated using industry recognised procedures; we ensure systems do what we promise by thorough, documented commissioning tests before handover; we ensure delivery and installation dates are achievable before providing them, then we make sure we stick to them.

Attention to detail and aesthetics

We strive to focus on the look of an installation as well as the function, from PV layout down to cable alignment. We review all of our projects to identify possible improvements.

Health and safety

Sundog Energy has an excellent health and safety record. The health and safety of the people working for Sundog Energy together with that of any visitors to installation sites or any other people in the vicinity is the foremost priority during site work.

Environment

Sundog Energy’s key motivation is to stimulate positive action to tackle climate change. So we do our utmost to minimise our own impact on the environment. For example, we do not use PVC, we source materials as locally as possible and recycle any waste that we can. We travel by public transport wherever feasible and run our own vans on LPG.

Education

Sundog Energy is actively involved in awareness raising work on a range of energy related issues. This has included the creation of Our Planet, the multimedia education resource for schools, and ongoing work on industry standards.

You can be confident that by dealing with Sundog Energy you will get the best advice, design and installation of your renewable energy system.
