Sundog working round clock to meet solar PV installers' demands
The recent FIT announcement has triggered a sudden and massive demand for our extensive solar PV stock and installation services as customers and installers scramble to beat the new December 12 deadline.
Sundog is now working around the clock to provide its solar PV panels and products to its wholesale customers and ensuring as many new orders and solar PV installations are finished, commissioned and in operation with their requests for accreditation received (by a FIT licensee for schemes up to 50kW or Ofgem for more than 50kW) before the deadline, to take advantage of existing rates.
According to Bill Roberts, Managing Director Sundog Energy “We all knew that FIT reform was planned for April 1, 2012 but bringing the date forward by three months has put a huge pressure on the industry forcing everyone to implement a planned 5 month installation schedule into a 6 week timetable. Luckily for Sundog and its customers, we carry extensive stocks of products and equipment at our head office in Penrith and we employ our own teams of highly-experienced installers so we are still able to meet our customer’s demands.”
